Recipe Notes
Ravioli: Refrigerated cheese ravioli is used in this recipe, but frozen ravioli or other fillings such as beef, Italian sausage, or vegetables can also work. Cook according to the package directions before assembling.
Pasta sauce: Choose a pasta sauce you really enjoy since it provides much of the flavor in this simple four-ingredient dish.
Fresh basil: If preferred, replace 1 teaspoon dried basil with 1 tablespoon fresh basil.
Add-ins: Spinach, chopped peppers, or onions are easy ways to add vegetables. Red chili flakes can be added for a little heat.
Extra cheese: Parmesan or ricotta can be added if you want an even cheesier pasta bake.
Make ahead: Assemble the ravioli bake ahead of time, cover, and refrigerate until you're ready to bake.
Freezing: Slightly undercook the ravioli when preparing this as a freezer meal. Assemble, cool, cover tightly, and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before baking.
Storage: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3–5 days.
